Though the difference can be minimal, staying fed can help heal wounds and metabolize helpful reagents faster. Staying hydrated helps regulate your body temperature. Be careful not to eat or drink too much, however; you may vomit.
|guides = No external guides.
}}

Much like the Counselor, the Chaplain is mostly responsible for the mental wellbeing of the crew rather than the physical. It is them who provides spiritual guidance generally tailored to a specific crewmember's religious background, and who has a working knowledge of major theologies in order to best provide advice and religious counseling. This is mainly a roleplay role, though cult rounds do give it a certain mechanical importance, and requires some initiative taken.

=== Overview ===
The chapel is on Deck 3, and contains a few pews and a podium (along with a "spirit" board) for ceremonies. Your office is right next to it. You have a monitor and a desk, along with the entrance to a confession booth, if you're so Cathotically inclined. Your locker contains:

* Some chaplain-y garments
* Candles and incense
* A deck of tarot cards
* A flask of holy water
* A null scepter
* A Bible
* An equipment belt
* A wooden urn

Your null scepter is notable, as tapping or hitting someone with it is able to nullify a certain special ability someone might have. Holy water has a special usage in cult rounds, related to helping out the non-antags.

A chaplain can be a priest of pretty much any religious background. As stated prior, however, they are also expected to provide non-specific faith-based support. They have a good idea of scripture, the will of God/Allah/Vishnu/the Demiurge, and ceremonies of faith, or can at least adapt quickly based on what an adherent of a faith tells them.

Being a religious zealot is, while technically not against the rules, is considered something in bad form on a roleplay server. It doesn't make much sense that a bigoted, crying-heretic religious pundit would make it on to a long-term space exploration vessel, especially if they're intended to be a source of well-being for the very diverse crew. Of course, this doesn't mean your chaplain character can't have personal flaws or "religious justifications" for any given bias they have; it just means it shouldn't be their defining trait.

=== Matthew 10:34 ===
Being a traitor on a Chaplain has little mechanical opportunities. However, a goodly priest is also given very little attention by members of Security, and has very little reason to check on your office. Your confession booth also has no cameras inside of it, making it a good place to store random contraband in a crate.

The '''Counselor''' is the individual aboard the station involved with the mental health of the crewmembers, and the upkeep thereof. This role is almost entirely roleplay based, and necessitates quick problem solving, intuition, and good listening skills. Given that most crewmembers are most focused on hunting down threats to the ship, exploring planetside, or actually doing their duties, you're going to need to be proactive in sitting people down for a friendly chat.
=== Overview ===
Your office is right across from Medical on Deck 1. You have a computer room with a locker, a monitor, the psionic-testing psi-meter, a bookshelf, and a filing cabinet. The locker contains:
* Various articles of psychiatrist-y clothing
* A bottle of midazolam
* A pill bottle of citalopram (15u)
* A pill of methylphenidate
* A clipboard
* A folder
* A universal recorder with tapes
* A camera
* A therapy doll
* An equipment belt
Your therapy room is much more comfortably furnished and contains a lunchbox with random food items in it, along with a teapot and two teacups. You also have some scented candles (and a lighter)!

If you'd like to get started on therapy roleplay right away, make an announcement over communications or search through the crew's medical records to check for someone who may be in need of an updated psychiatric evaluation. Otherwise, you're free to hang around in roleplay spots such as the bar or the medical lobby, ready to <s>pounce on any hapless crewmember in need of psychiatric drugs</s> assist in any mental health needs.

Seminars are also a great way to create roleplay as a counselor. You can hold them on anything, from workplace harassment, workplace tolerance, and icebreakers.
=== Hello, Clarice ===
Much like you as a non-antag, you aren't afforded especially much in the realm of mechanical options for traitoring. You don't start out with Chemistry lab access or even maintenance access, but you ''do'' start out with access to most of Medical. Provided you play your cards right, you can always ask the Executive Officer for more access... or ask for your traitor target to be delivered straight to you, since you're very concerned about their mental health. Remember, you can edit your "patient"'s medical records.

It's worth noting that it's not very suspicious for a counselor to tint the windows of their therapy room while a session is ongoing. A member of Security can always check the cameras, of course, but they're likely to be busy looking elsewhere, and you always have the option of calling patient confidentiality.

* A pill of methylphenidate
* A clipboard
* A folder
* A universal recorder with tapes
* A camera
* A therapy doll
* An equipment belt

=== Hello, Clarice ===
